Chief Counselor Abdullah Köten served as Deputy Undersecretary of the Prime Ministry for Foreign Trade in Turkey. During his duty as Deputy Undersecretary, he was responsible for imports, exports, agreements, free zone and standardization. In addition, he was the General Secretary for Export Promotion Centre and the President of the Founding Board of Directors of the Turkish Accreditation Council.
He also served as Commercial Counselor in Cairo, Egypt and Dublin, Ireland.
Earlier in his career, Chief Counselor Köten served as Foreign Trade Expert, Head of Department, Deputy Director General and Director General of Imports.
Chief Counselor Abdullah Köten was born in 1955. He received his bachelor’s degree in Economy and Finance and started his official duty in 1974. He is married and has two children.
